Info for Prospective Students

Graduate student research forms the foundation of our lab, both professionally and culturally, and I am always on the lookout for promising students. Good science should be fun, and I look for students who are intelligent, creative, and independent, but who are also passionate about their work and love to be challenged. Because working with large mammals in remote environments is expensive and often logistically challenging, my general policy is not to accept new students unless I have funding available to at least partially support them. As positions do become available in my lab I will advertise them on the Lab News page on this website. Iā€™m always open to inquiries, however, and so if you think your research interests are a good fit for the lab then please feel free to contact me (ralong@uidaho.edu) with a brief description of your interests and a copy of your CV.
